ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Swiss association

Imagine you and your friends playing with toys, but you want to make it official and have rules for playing. You can create a club or group called the "Swiss Association" where you all decide to follow rules and work together.

In the same way, adults can form a Swiss Association to work together towards a common goal or interest. This requires paperwork and formal registration with the Swiss government. Once the association is registered, it has certain rights and responsibilities as a legal entity. Members of the Swiss Association usually pay membership fees to cover costs of the association and can participate in decision-making meetings.

Swiss Associations can have different purposes, such as promoting sports, culture, or education. They can also focus on helping others, such as charities. These associations bring people together, create a sense of community, and allow for collective action towards a common goal.
