Symmetry breaking of escaping ants

Symmetry breaking of escaping ants is when many ants escape from the same spot, but they don't all go straight in one single line. This happens because each ant wants to get away as quickly as possible, but also avoid running into other ants. When multiple ants try to run away at once all at once, the ants will all end up forming curves and strange-looking paths.
