Sympatry

Sympatry is a big word that means two different kinds of animals or plants live in the same place at the same time.

It's like going to the park and seeing lots of different animals playing together, like birds and squirrels sharing the same trees. They don't always like each other, but they have to find ways to share the same space and resources, like food and shelter.

Sympatry can happen when two different species have adapted to live together in the same environment. For example, in the forest, different types of birds have developed different beak shapes to eat different types of food. Some birds eat seeds, while others eat insects or fruit. They all have to compete for resources, but they still find ways to live together in the same habitat.

But sometimes, sympatry can also happen when two species are forced to coexist because they have no other choice. This can lead to conflict and competition for resources, and sometimes, one species might even try to outcompete or harm the other.

Overall, sympatry is all about how different animals and plants find ways to live together in the same place, whether through cooperation or competition.
