Syncretism

Syncretism is when two different beliefs or cultures blend together, so that they have elements from both. For example, in some areas Christianity and some traditional African religions might blend together, with some Christian beliefs and some African beliefs present in the same religion. It's kind of like when you blend two different foods together to create a new flavor.
