ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

T-schema

T-schema is a funny name for a way to talk about truth. It's like when you play pretend with your friends and say things like "I'm a dragon!" If you say that and it's true, then we call it a "true" statement. But if you say it and it's not true, we say it's "false."

The t-schema is a way to talk about truth that uses a special word: "true." Here's how it works: Suppose you say "I'm a dragon." If that statement is really true, then we can explain why it's true by saying "It's true that I'm a dragon."

That might seem kind of silly - after all, aren't we just repeating ourselves? But the t-schema is actually a really useful tool for thinking about truth in more complex situations. For example, if we want to know if a scientific theory is true, we might ask questions like "What do experiments tell us about this theory? Does it match up with what we observe?" Then, using the t-schema, we can say things like "It's true that our experiments support this theory," or "It's false that this theory matches up with observations."

So the t-schema is just a way to talk about truth in a way that helps us understand what's really going on!
