ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

TVR Parlemen

So, you know how mommy and daddy sometimes watch shows on the TV? Well, sometimes grown-ups who work for the government also have their shows on TV. They call it TVR Parlemen.

Now, in TVR Parlemen, the grown-ups talk about important things that will affect our lives, like new laws or big decisions they need to make. They sit in a big room called the parliament and talk to each other about what they think should happen.

Sometimes, they get really passionate about their ideas and start arguing with each other, just like how you and your friends argue over who gets to use the swing at the playground. But instead of just trying to win the argument, they are trying to convince everyone else that their idea is the best one.

So, watching TVR Parlemen might seem boring to you now, but as you grow up, you will start to understand how important it is to pay attention to what those grown-ups are saying. Because the decisions they make will affect all of us, including you and me.
