TWA Flight 514
Okay kiddo, so back in 1974, there was a plane called TWA Flight 514 that was flying from Indianapolis to Washington, DC. Unfortunately, something really terrible happened during the flight. You see, the weather was really bad and there was a lot of snow and wind outside.
The pilots were trying to land the plane at Dulles Airport, but they got confused and accidentally landed in the mountains instead. This was a big problem because the plane crashed into the side of the mountain and everyone on board died.
It was a really sad day and a lot of people were really upset about what happened. The crash led to a lot of changes in the way planes are flown and landed, to try to make sure that something like this never happens again.
