ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tailor

A tailor is a person who makes clothes fit perfectly for people. You know how sometimes when you wear new clothes, they don't fit quite right? Maybe they're too big, or too long, or too tight in some places. Well, that's where a tailor comes in!

Think of a tailor like a magical clothes-fixer. They take the clothes you already have and tailor them specifically to fit you. They can shorten sleeves or pant legs, take in or let out fabric, and add or remove buttons. They use special tools like sewing machines and needles to make all the changes.

When you go to a tailor, you have to tell them what changes you want so that they can work their magic. They'll measure you to make sure the clothes fit perfectly, and then they'll get to work. When you come back to pick up the clothes, they'll fit like they were made just for you!

Tailors can also make brand new clothes from scratch. They'll start with fabric and use patterns to cut out the shape of the clothes. Then they'll sew everything together and add buttons and zippers as needed. Just like when tailoring existing clothes, they'll make sure that the new clothes fit you perfectly.

So, if you ever need clothes that fit you perfectly, go see a tailor! They're like clothes wizards who can make your clothes fit you perfectly!
