Taiwan

Taiwan is an island country in the western Pacific Ocean, just off the southeastern coast of China. It is about the size of Maryland and home to almost 24 million people. Taiwan has a long history and has been an independent country since 1945, when Japan gave Taiwan its independence after ruling it for 50 years. Taiwan is known for its rich culture and for its delicious food. People in Taiwan are very friendly and it's a great place to visit!
