One day, Tamar's half-brother Amnon did something really bad. He pretended he was sick and asked Tamar to bring him some food. When she did, he hurt her very badly.
Tamar was very upset and told her brother Absalom what happened. Absalom was very angry and wanted to take revenge on Amnon, so he made a plan to kill him.
