Tax resistance in the United States

Tax resistance in the United States is when people do not want to pay their taxes. This could be either not paying them completely or only paying part of them. It is illegal, so if people are caught not paying all of the taxes they owe, they can be fined, put in jail, or have to pay even more money. Tax resistance usually happens because people believe that the taxes are too high or are being used for things that they disagree with. So instead of paying, they choose to resist.
