ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Technocentrism

Technocentrism is the viewpoint that technology is the most important part of our lives and that it should be the focus of our decision-making. It's like seeing the world through "technology-colored glasses," so that we think about everything in terms of how technology can help make it better or easier. For example, when choosing a new product, we might think about which one has the best new technology features instead of which product is the most affordable or most reliable.
