Tel Dan

Tel Dan is a really old place in Israel where people used to live a very long time ago. It is called a "tel," which is like a big hill made up of dirt and rocks that people lived on top of. People who study history and archaeology go there to learn about what life was like a long, long time ago. They use special tools to dig into the dirt and look for old things, like tools, pots, and even bones! It's like a big puzzle and they try to use these things to figure out how people used to live and what they believed in. People have found lots of really interesting things at Tel Dan over the years, like a big stone slab with ancient writing on it that told a story about a king named Hazael. It's really cool to learn about the past and Tel Dan is a great place to explore it!
