Ten Days That Shook the World

"Ten Days That Shook the World" is a book that tells us about how in the year 1917, there was a big revolution in Russia called the October Revolution.

Before the revolution, Russia was ruled by a King called Tsar Nicholas II. A lot of people in Russia were very unhappy because the Tsar did not listen to their problems or give them enough food to eat.

So, a group of people called the Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin, wanted to change the government and make things better for the people. They gathered a lot of support from the poor people and workers, who wanted better wages and living conditions.

Then, in October 1917, the Bolsheviks planned a big revolution. They wanted to take over the government and make it better for the people. They did this by occupying important buildings and setting up their own government.

The revolution lasted for about ten days, and it was very violent because the Tsar's army was fighting against the Bolsheviks. But in the end, the Bolsheviks won and they took control of the government.

This was a very important event in history because it led to the creation of the Soviet Union, which lasted for many years. It also paved the way for other communist revolutions around the world.
