Terra (mythology)

Terra is a big, powerful goddess from ancient stories that people used to tell a long, long time ago. She was in charge of the earth - like the dirt, rocks, and plants - and she could do really amazing things with it.

Some people say that Terra was the mom of all the gods and goddesses, and that she created them all from the earth itself. She loved them very much, and wanted to take care of them.

Terra was also really important to people who lived off of the land. They knew that she was the one who made everything grow, and they wanted to make her happy so that the crops would be good and they would have plenty to eat.

Even though Terra was so strong and powerful, she could still be hurt by people who didn't treat her well. That's why it was so important for everyone to be nice to her and not do anything to harm the earth. Whenever they needed her help or protection, they would pray to her and ask her for help.

People don't really talk about Terra as much these days, but she's still a really cool goddess that we can learn a lot from. She reminds us to be kind to the earth and to appreciate all the amazing things that it does for us.
