Test score

A test score is a number that tells you how well you did on a test. Imagine you're playing a game and you get points when you do well. Taking a test is kind of like a game, too! Instead of playing on a screen or with toys, you're answering questions on paper or a computer. After you finish answering all the questions, the teacher or computer will count up how many you got right and give you a test score.

This score can be good news, like when you get a high score in a video game, or not-so-great news if you didn't score as well as you hoped. But remember, test scores aren't the only way to know how smart or capable you are. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, and test scores are just one piece of information.
