ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Testator

A testator is a person who has made a special plan for what happens to their belongings when they die. They have thought about who they want to give their things to and how they want them to be distributed. This special plan is called a will. Think of it like a letter to Santa, but instead of toys, you're telling people what to do with your things when you're not around anymore. The testator gets to say who gets what, and it's important to have a will so that their wishes are followed.
