Texting

Texting is when you use a telephone to send messages to someone else's telephone. Instead of talking out loud to each other, you can type messages on your phone and send them quickly. You can use your fingers to tap on the little letters and symbols that appear on your phone screen to make words and then send them to your friends. It's like writing a note to your friend, but you send it through your phone and they receive it almost instantly. Texting is a really popular way to communicate with people, especially if you don't want to disturb them by calling them on the phone.
