ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Thai script

Okay kiddo, so you know how we write with letters like A, B, C, and so on? Well, in Thailand they have their own special letters called Thai script.

Each Thai letter is actually a combination of lines and circles that are arranged in a certain way. Kind of like how we make pictures with shapes, like drawing a house using squares and triangles. Thai letters also have little marks above and below them that change the way they are pronounced, like adding an accent to a word.

Thai script is used to write the Thai language, which is spoken by people in Thailand. It's pretty cool because it looks different from our letters, but they can still use it to write down everything they want to say.
