The Carbon War: Global Warming and the End of the Oil Era

Dear little one,

The carbon war is all about something called global warming. The Earth gets warm because of a gas called carbon dioxide or CO2. This CO2 gets released when we burn things like oil and gas that we use to make energy to do things like drive cars, fly in airplanes and make electricity.

But when we release too much CO2 it makes the Earth get too warm and that is causing all sorts of problems like melting ice in the Arctic, rising sea levels and changing weather patterns.

So people are trying to make a big change by using less oil and finding different ways to get energy like using the sun, wind and water to make electricity. This is called renewable energy and is very important because it doesn't release CO2.

This change from using oil to using renewable energy is called the end of the oil era. It means that we will eventually stop using oil and gas because it's not good for the planet.

So we are in a war against CO2 and global warming and we need to work together to protect our beautiful planet for all the little kids like you and the rest of the world.
