The Intervention of ECB in the Eurozone Crisis

The European Central Bank (ECB) is like the 'bank' for Europe. It was established to help keep all of the countries in the European Union (EU) using the same type of money - the Euro. During the Eurozone crisis, some of the countries that used the Euro were having a lot of trouble with their economy. This means they weren't able to pay back their loans and debts. To help these countries the ECB decided to provide a service - intervention. This means they gave the countries money to help them with their debts. This intervention was designed to help make sure that all of the countries in the Eurozone stayed together and stayed strong.
