Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of a coral reef? It's where colorful fish and plants in the ocean hang out together. But sometimes, the coral reef can be damaged or destroyed by things like storms and pollution. That's where the Reef Ball Foundation comes in!
The Reef Ball Foundation is a group of people who want to help fix and protect coral reefs all over the world. They make things called "reef balls" which are like big concrete balls that are specially designed to give places for new coral and fish to live and grow.
First, the Reef Ball Foundation molds the concrete into big ball shapes. Then, they create different shapes and sizes of holes and textures on the balls, so that different types of creatures can fit in and live on the reef ball.
After that, the reef balls are taken out to places in the ocean where there used to be coral reefs but now are damaged. They are then placed on the sea bed and become new homes for the fish and plants to live and grow.
This helps bring the coral reef back to life and create new habitats for sea creatures. So by making and placing reef balls, the Reef Ball Foundation is helping protect the ocean and all the things that live in it!
