The Remains of the Day (film)

"The Remains of the Day" is a movie about a butler named Mr. Stevens who used to work at a big fancy house in England during the 1930s. The movie shows Mr. Stevens traveling to visit a former coworker, Miss Kenton, who used to be a housekeeper at the same big fancy house. Mr. Stevens realizes during his trip that he has been very dedicated to his job as a butler and might have missed out on important things in his life, like love and friendships. The movie tells the story of Mr. Stevens reflecting on his past and trying to figure out how to live the rest of his life. It also shows the things that happened at the big fancy house where he used to work, like the relationships between the staff and the rich people who lived there.
