The Second Shepherds' Play

The Second Shepherds' Play is a funny old story that people used to act out a long time ago. It's about a bunch of shepherds who take care of sheep in the fields. They are just like any other people – they like to laugh and have a good time.

One day, while they were tending to their sheep, they discover that one of their sheep has been stolen. This makes them very sad because the sheep is like their friend. They decide to go looking for it and come across a group of angels singing about a baby who has just been born in a stable nearby.

The shepherds are very excited to hear about this baby and decide to go visit him. They bring gifts like food and clothing, but the baby is happy just to see them. They decide to celebrate by drinking some beer and eating a delicious feast. However, one of the shepherds named Mak falls asleep and wakes up to find himself alone.

Mak decides to steal one of the shepherds' sheep and take it home to his wife to pretend it's their own baby. However, when he gets home, his wife argues with him because she knows the sheep isn't their baby. The other shepherds come to the rescue and take the sheep back.

In the end, everything turns out okay and the shepherds celebrate the birth of the baby, who they believe is Jesus. They all lived happily ever after.
