The Sneetches and Other Stories is a collection of children's stories written by Dr. Seuss. In the story, the Sneetches are a group of creatures who live on a beach. They are divided into two groups: the Star-Bellied Sneetches and the Plain-Bellied Sneetches. The Plain-Bellied Sneetches don't have stars on their bellies, so the Star-Bellied Sneetches think they are better because they have stars. Later, a salesman shows up and offers the Plain-Bellied Sneetches stars on their bellies so they can fit in. In the end, everyone realizes that it doesn't matter if you have a star or not, everyone is the same and they are all friends.
