Theatre

Okay kiddo, imagine you're at a big pretend house with lots of rooms. One room is called the theatre. In this room, people come to watch pretend stories come to life.

There's a special area in the front called the stage where the actors perform. Behind the stage is a space called the backstage where the actors get ready and where the props and costumes are kept.

When you go to the theatre, you buy tickets that let you into the pretend house to watch the actors tell their story. Sometimes the story is sad, sometimes it's funny, and sometimes it's exciting.

Actors use their voices, bodies, and words to make you feel like you're really in the story. They might use special effects like lights, sounds or music to make it even more exciting.

Theatre is a fun way to use your imagination, to learn about new things, and to feel emotions with other people. Just like reading a book, theatre lets you escape into a different world for a little while.
