Theophany

A theophany is when God appears in the form of a person or some kind of creation. It’s like a special, incredible happening where God shows up and does something extraordinary. For example, in the Bible, when Moses went up Mount Sinai, God appeared to him as a burning bush. In other stories, God has appeared as a pillar of fire or a cloud. Just like seeing a movie or a concert is a special event, so is seeing God in a theophany.
