ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Theory of justification

Theory of justification is how we decide if something is true or not. It's like a set of rules that helps us decide if something is true or not. For example, if someone says "Cats meow", we can use a theory of justification to decide if that statement is true. We could use lots of evidence like looking at books, looking online, and asking people who know about cats. If we used that evidence and it all said cats meow, then we could say that statement is true.
