Theosis (Eastern Christian theology)

Theosis is a teaching from Eastern Christian theology that means becoming “like God.” It is a belief that humans can become perfect and united with God, so that even after death they can live forever in perfect union with God. This is because, according to Eastern Christian theology, God wants all humans to become perfect and united with Him, and He makes it possible for us to reach that goal. Eastern Christian theology teaches that God gives us special gifts, like His grace and love, that makes it possible for us to become perfect and united with Him. By living a life of faith and obedience to God, we can make progress towards theosis, and if we stay on that path we will eventually become one with God. Once we become one with God, we will be free from death and suffering, and we will be able to live forever in perfect peace and joy.
