Tibet under Yuan rule

Tibet is a land in Asia that has been around for a very long time. A long time ago, a group of people called the Yuan Dynasty took over Tibet. They were in charge of making rules for the people who lived there.

The Yuan Dynasty was like a big family with one person, called the emperor, in charge. The emperor made all the big decisions and everyone else had to do what he said. The people who lived in Tibet had their own leaders before the Yuan Dynasty came in, but now they had to follow the Yuan Dynasty's rules.

Under the Yuan rule, Tibet became more connected with other parts of China. This meant that they started to have more trade with other places, like India and Nepal. They also learned new things from other parts of China, like writing and religion.

The people of Tibet had their own religion, called Buddhism, but the Yuan Dynasty also believed in a different religion called Islam. They wanted the people of Tibet to convert to Islam, but most of them didn't want to. The Yuan Dynasty didn't force them to convert, but they did make it harder for Buddhists by taking away some of their land and making them pay more taxes.

Overall, the time when Tibet was under the Yuan rule was a time of change for the people of Tibet. They had to follow new rules and learn new things, but they also got to trade with other places and see more of the world.
