ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tiller

A tiller is a tool that works a lot like a steering wheel on a boat. It helps gardeners to dig and loosen up soil in their garden. You hold onto the tiller and move it back and forth to turn the blades that are underneath it. These blades dig into the soil and break it up into smaller pieces. This makes it easier for plants to grow because their roots can spread out more easily. Just like how you need to steer a boat to go in the right direction, you need to move the tiller in the right way to get the soil ready for planting.
