Timeline of Kabul

Okay, so imagine Kabul is like a big city made up of lots of people and buildings. Let's go back in time, all the way to the year 1776. That's a really long time ago! Kabul was part of a big empire called the Durrani Empire, and it had a king named Ahmad Shah Durrani.

Fast forward a lot of years to the early 1900s. Kabul became the capital of Afghanistan, which is a country where people live. There were lots of wars and problems in the country over the next few decades, but in 2001, a group called the Taliban took over Kabul and ruled it for five years.

Finally, in 2006, the government of Afghanistan took back control of Kabul and has been running the city ever since. Today, Kabul is a busy and growing city with lots of different people living and working there. It has modern buildings and big parks, but it also has some old buildings and ruins from a long time ago. That's the timeline of Kabul, all the way from 1776 to today!
