But then, a man named Henry Ford had a really good idea. He wanted to make cars that lots of people could afford. So, he made a car called the Model T that was really simple and easy to make. Lots of people bought the Model T and soon, everyone wanted a car!
After that, more and more companies started making cars. Some of the most popular ones in North America were Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge. In the 1950s and 1960s, cars got even cooler! They got bigger and had lots of fancy designs and colors.
