Timothy Treadwell
Timothy Treadwell was a man who really loved bears. He would go to where the bears lived, in a place called Alaska, and he would stay there for a long time with them. He would watch them and talk to them and even touch them sometimes. But bears are very big, and even though Timothy loved them, they can be dangerous if they get scared or mad.
One day, something bad happened. Timothy was with his friend Amie, who also loved bears, and a very big bear came and attacked both of them. They did not have anything to protect themselves, like a gun or a fence, and the bear hurt them very badly. They both died because of the bear.
People were very sad when they heard about what happened to Timothy and Amie. They wondered why anyone would want to be near such a dangerous animal. But some people think that Timothy was brave for wanting to be friends with bears and that he just made a mistake by not being more careful.
