Tinnitus masker

Okay kiddo, so do you know what tinnitus is? It's when you hear a ringing, buzzing or humming sound in your ears that nobody else can hear. Some people have it all the time and it can be annoying.

A tinnitus masker is like a little machine that makes a different sound to cover up the ringing in your ears. It's kind of like when you put on headphones to listen to your favorite song really loudly so you can't hear anything else around you.

The tinnitus masker can make lots of different sounds like white noise, nature sounds or music. You wear it in your ear like a hearing aid and it plays the sound really quietly so you can still hear everything else around you but it also covers up the ringing in your ears.

The idea is to distract your brain from the tinnitus so you don't notice it as much. It can take a bit of getting used to, but some people find it really helpful.
