Toga

A toga is a long piece of cloth that the ancient Romans wore over their clothing as a symbol of their social status. Think of a toga like a fancy blanket that you wrap around yourself. It was made of wool and was about 18 feet long and 6 feet wide.

To wear a toga, you first had to fold it in half and then drape it over one shoulder so that it covered your body like a robe. You had to be careful to fold and wrap it correctly so that you wouldn't trip or lose your balance.

Togas were mostly worn by adult men in Ancient Rome and were a sign of their citizenship and social status. It was important to wear a toga for special occasions, like going to court or attending important celebrations.

So, the toga was essentially a big fancy blanket that the ancient Romans wore over their clothes to show off their importance and status to others.
