ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tolerance interval

Tolerance interval is a type of range that tells us how much of a data set lies within a certain range. For example, let's say that we measured the height of 10 people in a room and found that the heights ranged from 4'6" to 6'4". The tolerance interval for this data set would tell us that, with 95% confidence, any person in the room will be between 4'6" and 6'4" tall.
