ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Topical

Topical basically means something that is applied directly to a specific area of the body, like your skin or your eyes.

Think of it like when you put sunscreen on your nose - you're applying it directly and only to that one spot. That's a topical application.

Doctors and nurses might also use topical medications to treat things like rashes, cuts, or infections. They'll apply the medicine directly to the affected area so it can work where it's needed most.

So basically, if someone says something is topical, they mean it applies directly to a specific part of your body.
