ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Total productive maintenance

Total productive maintenance (TPM) is a way to help machines, workers and processes work together better. It’s like a check-up to make sure everything is running smoothly. TPM includes regular maintenance and working with the workers to make sure that everything is running as it should, so that they don’t have to fix things on the spot. TPM also looks at how processes can be improved and how production can be increased. So it is like giving your machines, workers, and processes a check-up to make sure they stay healthy, and then making sure they are happy and running smoothly.
