ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tow hitch

Okay, kiddo, so you know when we go on a road trip and we need to take a lot of stuff with us, like our bikes or a trailer for camping? Well, sometimes our car or truck needs a special part called a tow hitch to help us carry all of that extra stuff.

A tow hitch is like a super strong hook that gets attached to the back of our car or truck. It's made with really tough metal and has a ball on top where other things can be connected to it. This is where we attach a trailer, a boat, or even a bike rack.

When we want to use it, we need to be careful and make sure it's installed properly so that everything we're carrying is secure and won't fall off. It's also important to keep in mind that the weight of everything we're carrying can affect how our car or truck handles, so we need to be extra cautious while driving.

But overall, a tow hitch is a really handy tool that helps us bring all of our gear along for the ride when we go on fun family vacations or weekend getaways.
