ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Trace (deconstruction)

When you trace something, you follow its path or draw its outline to help you see how it looks or figure out how it works. Just like when you use a pencil to copy a picture from a book onto paper.

Deconstruction means taking something apart to see how it works. Imagine taking apart a toy car to see how all the pieces fit together and make the car move.

So when people talk about "trace deconstruction" they are most likely talking about taking apart a drawing or design to see how it was made. This helps them understand how it was created, and maybe even figure out how to make their own similar designs in the future.
