Track bicycle

A track bicycle is a special kind of bike that's designed for riding on a special kind of track. The track is usually a round or oval-shaped course made of smooth, flat concrete or wood, and the bike doesn't have any gears or brakes like a normal bike.

This is because the track is designed for racing, so the riders need to go really fast and don't want any extra weight or resistance from gears or brakes. Instead, the rider pedals really fast to go faster and slows down by applying pressure to the pedals with their feet.

Track bicycles usually have a really aerodynamic shape, which means they're designed to help the rider go as fast as possible. They have narrow handlebars that the rider grips onto, and a long, skinny seat that they sit on. The wheels are usually really thin and smooth, which helps reduce wind resistance and allows the rider to go faster.

These bikes are often used in competitions like the Olympics, where riders race around the track as fast as they can. It's really important for the rider to have good balance and control on a track bike, since they don't have the help of gears or brakes to slow down or speed up. But with practice and training, riders can become really skilled at riding these bikes and go really fast!
