Trademark

A trademark is a special name, logo or slogan that a company or person uses to show that something belongs to them. It helps to keep other people from using the same or similar names, logos or slogans. For example, if you saw a cup with the McDonald's logo, you would know that the company McDonald's owns it, and no one else can use the same logo for their cup.
