ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Traffic ticket

Okay, so you know how there are rules that you have to follow like cleaning your room or staying away from the hot oven? Well, there are also rules that people have to follow when they are driving on the road.

Sometimes, when someone breaks one of these rules, a police officer will give them a piece of paper called a "traffic ticket". It's kind of like when you get a note from your teacher if you did something wrong in class.

The traffic ticket has information like the date, time, and place where the person broke the rule, what they did wrong (like driving too fast or not stopping at a red light), and how much money they have to pay for doing that.

If the person doesn't pay the money or go to court, they could get in even more trouble. So, it's really important to follow the rules on the road and avoid getting a traffic ticket.
