ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Trailing zero

Trailing zeroes are zeroes that appear after a number or at the end of a number. For example, the number 350 has two trailing zeroes. Trailing zeroes don't change the value of the number they just let us know how many times the last digit is multiplied by 10. So 350 means 3 x 100 + 5 x 10, or 300 + 50. Those two trailing zeroes show us that we multiplied 10 two times in that equation.
