Trans panic defense

Okay kiddo, let me try to explain it to you. Have you ever watched a cartoon where one of the characters gets really scared of something and overreacts? They might scream or run away. Well, the trans panic defense is like that but in real life and it's not funny.

It's a way that some people who have hurt or even killed someone who is transgender (which means they don't identify with the gender they were born as) can try to get out of trouble. They say that they got scared or angry because the person was transgender and that made them react violently.

But that's not fair or right because being transgender is just a part of who someone is, like having brown hair or liking ice cream. It shouldn't make someone else hurt them or use it as an excuse to get away with hurting them.

So now people are trying to get rid of the trans panic defense because it's not fair or just. Everyone should be able to be who they are without fear of being hurt or killed because of it.
