ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Transdisciplinarity

Transdisciplinarity is when different disciplines (ways of studying, like maths, science, or art) come together to help us understand and solve complex problems. For example, if a problem needs lots of different types of knowledge to solve it, people from different areas of study can work together to try and come up with a solution. So instead of one person from one area trying to solve a problem, lots of people from different areas work together to combine their knowledge and come up with the best solution.
