Transgender Day of Remembrance

Hi there! Today is the Transgender Day of Remembrance. That means we take a moment to remember people who have been hurt or killed because of who they are.

Some people feel like they were born in the wrong body. For example, someone who is born a boy might feel like they are really a girl. We call these people transgender.

Unfortunately, some people are not very nice to transgender people. They might bully them or hurt them. Sometimes, it can even be very serious and people might be killed.

On this day, we remember all the transgender people who have been hurt or killed because of who they are. We want to make sure that everyone knows that transgender people are important and should be treated with kindness and respect.
