Transjordan (Bible)

Transjordan is a place mentioned in the Bible that is located on the eastern side of the Jordan River. Just like the United States has two different sides--the east coast and the west coast--the land of Israel also had two different sides with the Jordan River running down the middle.

So, Transjordan is the area on the other side of the Jordan River. It was home to many different groups of people in the Bible times, including the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.

One of the important events that took place in Transjordan was when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years before entering the Promised Land. They spent most of this time on the Transjordan side of the river.

Overall, Transjordan was a significant region from a biblical standpoint due to its strategic location and the important events that took place there.
