Transmission (mechanics)

Transmission is like a gearbox in a car. It takes the power from your engine and sends it to the wheels so that your car can move. The transmission is made up of gears which change the speed of the engine so that the car can drive faster or slower. When you put your car in gear, the transmission shifts and changes the gears so that your car can move faster or slower.
